COSMO Project Manufacturing

COSMO Project Manufacturing is an industry solution for project manufacturing industries such as plant engineering, special machinery and other project-oriented manufacturers as well a solution for project management applications.

Built to enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with industry-specific functionalities, COSMO Project Manufacturing integrates with the standard modules Finance, SCM and Inventory, Production and other COSMO CONSULT solutions covering all procedural aspects of company processes where the need for project management is required. It provides full capabilities of project planning, project procurement, project controlling, and invoicing.

This allows a quick realization of important company objectives in terms of transparency and well-structured projects, optimization of results in rolling project calculations, as well as delivery in times.

If the New sales pricing experience feature update has been enabled in Feature Management in Business Central 16.00 (or later), the Transfer Job Purchase Prices and Discounts action will be available on the Actions menu in the Projects Setup page, which transfers the existing Job Purchase Prices and Discounts to the new Price List table. Run this function to ensure proper pricing functionality in COSMO Project Manufacturing. Once run, the action is no longer available on the Projects Setup page.

Project Definition

In general, a project is a finite endeavor (having specific start and completion dates) undertaken to create a unique product or service which brings about beneficial change or added value. In this case, a project is a plan that is characterized in its entirety by the uniqueness of the conditions, for example, scope, time frame, financial budget, personnel and other limitations, and job-specific organization.

Starting from the sales opportunities, the project will stay in the focus of each project-related process. Creating sales documents and purchase documents, as well as project planning and delivery planning, all is based on the project with a work breakdown structure. During the processing, employees return working times back to the project. Using the rolling calculation view the project manager can always see important performance indicators to control the project until it is finally invoiced.

Access COSMO Project Manufacturing functionality using the Tell Me feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter the page name, and then choose the related link.
