Integration of COSMO Period Costing

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central uses the cost-of-sales method as standard. The COSMO Period Costing app provides the ability to carry out the profit and loss statement according to the total-cost-accounting method.

When using COSMO Period Costing together with the project inventory management function of COSMO Project Manufacturing, several postings from COSMO Period Costing are posted to different G/L accounts when the production order has a project context.

The fields used in the General Posting Setup page are described in the following table.

Field	Description
CI Direct Cost Applied Account (Project)	Specifies the general ledger account number to post the direct cost applied for project with this particular combination of business posting group and product posting group.
CI Overhead Applied Account (Project)	Specifies the general ledger account number to post the overhead applied for project with this particular combination of business posting group and product posting group.
CI Direct Cost Non-Inventory Applied Account (Project)	Specifies the general ledger account number to post the direct cost applied for project with this particular combination of business posting group and product posting group.
