Additional Service Functions
This topic describes additional COSMO Discrete Manufacturing functions for service management.
Checklists
Checklists can be assigned on the Service Order header and the Service Item Worksheet.
Service Order
To create a checklist for a Service Order, choose Functions > Create Checklist on the Actions menu. This checklist is saved to the Service Order Archive in archived versions.
Service Item Worksheet
Checklist templates for service are assigned to items and designated via the Service checkbox in the Item Checklist Relations page. When the service item is added to the Service Item Worksheet, a checklist is automatically created. If specified in the checklist template, the checklist will open automatically after the quantity is entered. If not, choose Line > Checklist on the Lines FastTab to open the checklist.
Unit price and weight are copied from the Service Line to the Checklist and can be transferred back to the service line after applying the calculation by choosing the Transfer Unit Price action.
Afterward, you can create a construction order for the service item by choosing Line > Construction Order on the Lines FastTab. The checklist will be assigned to the construction order.
This checklist is saved to the Service Order Archive Lines in archived versions.
Service Line Details FactBox
The Service Line Details FactBox is available in the Service Item Worksheet, providing quick access to detailed information and related documents for service lines.
The fields in the Service Line Details FactBox are described in the following table.
| Field | Description |

| Card | Displays the item, resource, G/L account, or service cost number. Drill down to open the corresponding card page. |
| Availability | Displays the calculated availability for items. Drill down to access item availability options by date, variant, or location. |
| Substitutions | Displays the number of available item substitutions in parentheses (e.g., (2)). Drill down to view and select item substitutions. |
| Attributes (DM) | Displays the number of service line attributes in parentheses (e.g., (3)). Drill down to view or modify service line attributes. |
| Replenishment System | Displays the replenishment system from the stockkeeping unit. Drill down to open the Stockkeeping Unit Card or Item Card. |
| Reordering Policy | Displays the reordering policy from the stockkeeping unit. Drill down to open the Stockkeeping Unit Card or Item Card. |
| Checklists | Displays the number of checklists in parentheses (e.g., (1)). Drill down to view existing checklists or assign a new checklist. For more information, see Checklists. |
| Construction Inquiries | Displays the number of construction inquiries in parentheses (e.g., (1)). Drill down to create or view construction inquiries. For more information, see Create Construction Document from Service Item Worksheet. |
| Construction Orders | Displays the number of construction orders in parentheses (e.g., (2)). Drill down to create or view construction orders. For more information, see Create Construction Document from Service Item Worksheet. |
| Production Orders | Displays the number of related production orders in parentheses (e.g., (1)). Drill down to view production orders created from construction orders linked to the service line. |
Document Schedules
Functionality for the Document Schedule is available in the Service Quote and Service Order.
The fields in the Lines FastTab of each page are described in the following table.

| Document Schedule | Indicates whether a Document Schedule exists for the service item line. This indicator is also visible in the Service Item Line Details FactBox. For more information, see Document Schedules. |
| Max. Planned Ending Date | Displays the maximum planned ending dates from the linked Document Schedule, which helps identify if there is a date conflict. For more information, see Document Schedules. |
| Max. Expected Ending Date | Displays the maximum expected ending date from the linked Document Schedule, which helps identify if there is a date conflict. For more information, see Document Schedules. |
The action on the Line menu of the service quote and service order is described in the following table.

| Document Schedule | Either opens a generated Document Schedule or you are asked to create one (see Operation Scheduling). |
Integrations with Advanced Manufacturing Suite
If you have the integration with Advanced Manufacturing Suite (AMS), COSMO Text Module functionality is available in the following service areas:
- Service Order by choosing Actions > Header Texts or Footer Texts. For more information, see COSMO Text Module.
- Checklists in the Service Order by opening the checklist and then choosing Line > Line Texts on the Lines FastTab. For more information, see COSMO Text Module.
