Integration of COSMO Purchase Quote Manager

COSMO Purchase Quote Manager (PQM) functionality in COSMO Discrete Manufacturing is used to manage multiple quote requests with varying prices, from multiple vendors, for Document BOM lines, Construction Order lines, and Construction Inquiry lines.

Once a vendor is chosen, PQM can transfer relevant quote information to source-linked lines by updating vendor number and direct unit cost. During purchase quote creation, PQM also carries due-date information into the created purchase quote lines. For Requisition Worksheet sources, date information is updated on the requisition line through the source update flow.

After the PQM process is complete, you can choose one of the following follow-up scenarios:

• If only price comparison was required, quote documents can be removed through explicit cleanup options.
• If quote documents are needed for later purchasing activities, they can be retained and used in subsequent procurement processing.

Note

PQM is also used in requisition and project-procurement related scenarios outside Discrete Manufacturing-specific page entry points.
