Resource Planning Groups

The Resource Shift Schedule Overview uses Resource Planning Groups to classify the resources.

Resource Planning Groups are defined in the Res. Planning Group Code field in Work Centers and Machine Centers (Scheduling FastTab), and in Production Structure lines. Transferred codes from the work/machine centers can be modified in the Production Structure as needed.

In the Planning Extension Setup page, the Empty Res. Planning Group Code field clusters all resources available in a certain shift without any assignment to a Resource Planning Group. Resources in this group have no Production Order operations assigned and, therefore, would be available for scheduling.
