    Usage of Application Areas with Product Configuration

    The first mentioned application area, All, is a standard Business Central setting that is always active. This guarantees that the COSMO CONSULT product/module setup pages are always visible and can be found by the user, as well as provides a general activation of the application area for each COSMO CONSULT product/module.

    The second application area, CCSPM, is only activated if the following two conditions are true:

    • At least one Activate Appl. Area field is turned on in the COSMO CONSULT product/module setup window, which is used to activate the application area.

      • If this toggle is not turned on, all pages and controls of the COSMO CONSULT product/module are hidden.
      • If this toggle is turned on, the Product Configuration Management tool manages if the pages and controls are visible.
    • In the Product Configuration Management tool, set up which COSMO CONSULT products/modules should be visible for which profile.

      Note

      These setups will be obsolete if the Activate Appl. Area toggle on the corresponding COSMO CONSULT product/module setup page is not selected.
