Item Disposal per Period

The Item Disposal per Period function supports manual item planning as an alternative to standard material requirements planning (MRP). It visualizes how item availability develops over time, helping users make informed decisions when automated replenishment rules in the master data cannot fully apply.

This function is especially useful in scenarios such as flexible procurement, project-based manufacturing, or long-running production orders that span multiple days. In such cases, it enables the planner to distribute component needs across several days and derive more accurate and time-based procurement actions.
