Send Note on Production Order Delay
If the ending date of a production order line linked to a sales order line from a reservation is changed to a date later than the production order line due date, a notification will be created and emailed. The notification function can be enabled or disabled using the Send Note on Prod. Order Delay field in the Manufacturing Setup page.
Emails
Before production order delay notifications can be sent as emails, you must define an email account to be used as the sender address for the notification. This set up is done in the Email Accounts page, using the Set Up Email wizard. For more information, see Set Up Email in Microsoft Help.
Note
The email account designated as Default will be used for sending the notifications.
Emails are sent based on the email address of the Salesperson Code in the related sales order. This email address can be entered in the:
- Salesperson/Purchaser Card page, Email field.
- User Setup page by assigning the salesperson in the Salespers./Purch. Code field and then entering their email in the E-Mail field.
Once setup, an email with delay information will be sent to the salesperson and will be visible in the Email Status cues in the salesperson's Role Center.
The sales order can be opened directly from a link in the email notification.
