Identify Operation for Sequence Planning

In Production Structures, more than one sequence work center can be entered in the lines. It is also possible to select which sequence work center in the Production Structure lines should be used for sequence planning if more than one sequence work center is added.

Only one sequence work center can be selected in the Production Structure. If the Sequence Planning checkbox is selected for another sequence work center, the new work center will be selected and the Sequence Planning checkbox will be cleared on the previous work center.

Additionally, the Sequence Planning checkbox can only be selected for work centers that are set up for sequence planning.

When a production order is created for this item, the sequence planning is done only on the sequence work center selected in the Production Structure.

The Sequence Planning indicator is transferred to the Prod. Order Routing. It is not possible to change the Sequence Planning checkbox in the Prod. Order Routing.

When the Production Structure is certified, the work center for which the Sequence Planning checkbox is selected is stored in the Seq. Planning Work Center No. field on the Production Structure header. The Seq. Planning Work Center Name field displays the name of that work center. Both fields are hidden by default; use the Personalize feature to add them to the Production Structure page. Both fields are used to filter the certified manufacturing structure variants that are offered when you change the work center by production structure from the Sequence Planning or Planning Pool page (see Change Work Center - Sequence Planning or Change Work Center - Planning Pool).
