Engineering Change Notices in Document BOMs

Engineering change notices are used when changes must be made during manufacturing. In COSMO Discrete Manufacturing, these notices are handled in the Document BOM Header page, accessed using the Tell Me feature.

To create an engineering change notice

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Document BOMs, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the Document BOM that requires a change.
  3. In the Lines FastTab, choose the line that requires a change.
  4. On the Line menu, choose the Create Eng. Change Notice action.
  5. In the Change Reason Code field, enter the reason for the change.
  6. Enter a Drawing No. and Drawing Type Code as needed.
  7. Enter comments in the Comments FastTab.
  8. Choose the Send action when you are ready to continue the process.

Source Drawing Set FactBox

The Source Drawing Set FactBox shows the status of the drawing in the selected Document BOM line.
