Engineering Change Notices in Production Structures

Engineering change notices are used when changes must be made during manufacturing. In COSMO Process Manufacturing, these notices are handled in the Production Structure lines.

Note

You can only create Engineering Change Notices on Manufacturing Structures.

To create an engineering change notice

1. On the Manufacturing Structure, choose the line that requires a change.
2. On the Lines FastTab, choose Line > Create Eng. Change Notice.
3. In the Change Reason Code field, enter the reason for the change.
4. Enter a Drawing No. and Drawing Type Code as needed.
5. Enter comments in the Comments FastTab.
6. Choose the Send action when you are ready to continue the process.

To open an engineering change notice

1. On the Manufacturing Structure, choose the line with a change notice.
2. On the Lines FastTab, choose Line > Eng. Change Notices.
3. Open the change notice.

Source Drawing Set FactBox

The Source Drawing Set FactBox shows the status of the drawing in the selected production structure line.
