Print BoQ Reports with Formatted Text

HTML-formatted texts can be included in Bill of Quantities reports, but there are limitations due to RDLC report constraints.

Report capabilities

Basic HTML formatting is supported in RDLC reports:

• Basic HTML formatting (bold, italic, lists)
• Text additions are displayed with formatting
• Long texts appear below position descriptions when selected

Report limitations

Not all HTML formatting elements are supported in RDLC reports:

• Not all HTML formatting elements are supported in RDLC reports
• Only one image per long text is displayed due to RDLC report limitations
• Complex table layouts may not render exactly as shown in the editor
• Some advanced formatting may be simplified or removed

Generate reports

To generate reports:

1. Open the Bill of Quantities Card.
2. On the Reports menu, choose the BoQ Report action.
3. Turn on the Show Long Text and Show HTML toggles to include the formatted long texts in the report.
4. Generate the report to preview or print.

For best results, review the report preview to ensure formatting meets your requirements before final printing or distribution.
