COSMO Commission

The purpose of the COSMO Commission module is the flexible determination and calculation of commissions. There are various calculation schemes and different commission models which can be implemented.

The strength of this module is the flexible definition of commission and calculation schemes, individual scales, discounts and the ability to include item charges.

Commission recipients, customers, and items can be combined into groups that can have different commission rates with different validity periods.

Primary Functions

  • Direct allocation of commission recipients to customers.
  • Commission recipients, customers, and items can be combined using groups.
  • Specification of commission rates for customers, items, commission recipients, and/or their groups.
  • Determination of the commission base: statements by shipping, invoicing or payment receipt.
  • Possibility of consideration of discounts, credit memos, or return orders.
  • Log values from posted sales document lines for items.
  • Commission statements can be created automatically or manually.
  • Calculating the commission's suggestion on definable periods and listing of the result.
  • Issuing of commission statements and supplying of data for verification and confirmation.

Contributing Functions

  • Allocation of multiple commission recipients to one customer with identification of the primary recipient.
  • Commission scales for quantities or amounts.
  • Scale commission and validity periods for commission rates.
  • Commission rates in different currencies.
  • Change of setup values possible for each commission recipient, commission group, or each statement.
  • Possibility of manual entry or modification of commission statements.
  • Detailed insight of calculation information for the verification of specific commission lines.
  • Entry of customers as a rebate or commission recipient.
  • Customer grouping to rebate groups.
  • Sales rebate statement analogue to the commission statement.
  • Fixed manual commission rates for sales lines.
  • Calculation of commissions on amount or profit.

Access COSMO Commission functionality using the Tell Me feature in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter the page name, and then choose the related link.
