Tip

Summary: The Data Integration Framework Partners page in Business Central allows users to export and import partners, as well as access a template catalog to import partner configurations from the COSMO CONSULT content delivery network. During the export process, Record Pool Partner and Mapping Partner can also be exported. During the import process, existing partners will be overwritten.

To transfer partners to other Business Central databases, for example to save time when creating new partners, you can export and import partners. During the export process, Record Pool Partner and Mapping Partner can be exported too.

To export a partner

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Partners - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select a partner, and then choose the Export Marked action.
  3. Open the file or select a file location to save it.

To import a partner

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Partners - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Import from XML File action.
  3. In the Import Partner Configuration dialog box, choose the Choose button.
  4. Select the XML file that contains the partner, and then choose the Open button.
Caution

Partners that exist in the database will be overwritten during an import.

Template Catalog

Choose the Template Catalog action on the Data Integration Framework Partners page to open the template catalog and import Partner Configurations from the COSMO CONSULT content delivery network. Typically, a partner configuration requires an additional mapping configuration during the import.

Note

The import works similar to the XML import.
