Export and Import E-Balance Projects

E-Balance Projects are used to export data from Dynamics 365 Business Central and import them into the COSMO E-Balance app. This topic describes how to transfer projects.

How to Export/Import an E-Balance Project

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter E-Balance Projects, and then choose the related link.
  2. To transfer E-Balance projects from Dynamics 365 Business Central to the COSMO E-Balance app, select the project to export and choose the Export Project action.
  3. Choose the OK button on the request page that opens to download the project data as a Tax Control file (.taxctrl).
  4. After exporting an E-Balance project from Dynamics 365 Business Central, the status of the project is set to Exported.
  5. Once a project is exported, it cannot be exported again unless you reset its status by choosing the Reset Export action on the project card or list.
  6. To import a project into the COSMO E-Balance app, double-click the downloaded Tax Control file (.taxctrl).
  7. Alternatively, drag and drop the downloaded file onto the COSMO E-Balance shortcut on your desktop or right-click the file and choose Open with.
  8. Navigate to the e-bilanz.exe in the installation directory of the COSMO E-Balance app.
