Drawing Status Permissions

Choose the Drawing Status Permissions action on the Product Data Management Setup page or the Drawing Status page to open the Drawing Status Permissions page.

The drawing statuses are permitted per user, which means you can specify which user can change a status to another status.

If the Check Permission for Drawing Status field is enabled in the Product Data Management Setup page, the Drawing Status Permission table is checked whenever a user changes the Status Code field for a drawing.

When permission checks are enabled, setting the Status Code field from empty to the setup's Default Drawing Status Code value does not require explicit permission. All other status changes are evaluated against the From Status Code and To Status Code permission rules.

If the Check Permission for Drawing Status field is disabled, the permission table is not checked and empty status values remain possible.

Note

From Status Code and To Status Code can be blank fields. In this case, you are allowed to change the status from or to any status code.
