Base Calculation

Before creating the Sales Order, the last step must sometimes be to create/update the base calculation records. These will be given to a solicitor for administration. A report is currently not provided through COSMO Project Construction.

The base calculation will be opened for clarification only if any price conflict occurs between the customer and the contractor during the building phase.

Note

The EFB Calculation must be created before creating the Base Calculation.

To update or view the base calculation

  1. In the Construction Project page, choose Functions > Update Base Calculation on the Projects FastTab.

  2. When the update is complete, open the BoQ Budget Calculation page.

  3. Select a row to view the base calculation and then on the Related menu, choose Line > Base Calculation. The Base Calculation Card opens for the selected position, displaying quoted sales price values, surcharges, and unit prices for components (Wage, Material, Ext. Service, Equipment, and Other).

    Note

    Unit Price and quota values on the Base Calculation Card, the Base Calculation List, and their FactBox display up to three decimal places, matching the Unit Price Rounding Precision set on the Project Card (see Project/Job Card). Values with only two decimal places continue to display without a trailing zero.

  4. Close the Base Calculation Card.

From the Construction Project page, a list of the base calculations can be opened from the Projects FastTab by choosing Calculation > Base Calculation.

Note

Base Calculation lines can be deleted in projects with Status = Planning.

On the Reports menu, the Print action prints the Base Calculation list if a custom report has been created and defined for Usage = Base Calculation in the Project Construction Report Selection page.
