View and Edit Long Texts

After enabling the Rich Text Editor feature, you can view and edit long texts with rich formatting capabilities directly in the pages that contain BoQ Positions, such as:

• BoQ Budget Calculation
• BoQ Position List
• Fast Calculation
• Execution Unit lines

View long texts in Rich Text FactBox

1. Open the page with the BoQ Positions that you want to view.
2. Select a position in the BoQ lines.
3. View the formatted text in the Long Text (Rich Text) FactBox.

Edit long texts in BoQ Project Texts page

1. Open the Project Card.
2. On the Bill of Quantities FastTab, ensure the Protect Bill of Quantities toggle is turned off.
3. Open the page with the BoQ Positions that you want to view.
4. In the BoQ lines, locate the position with text you want to edit and then:
   • Choose the Yes value in the Long Text (Rich Text) field.
   • Select the position and then choose Line > Short/Long Text action on the Related menu.
   • Select the position and then choose the Short/Long Text action from the drop-down arrow in the Long Text (Rich Text) FactBox.
5. The BoQ Project Texts page opens with two FastTabs:
   • Long Text (Rich Text): Displays and allows editing of HTML-formatted text using the Rich Text Editor.
   • Long Text (Plain Text): Displays the plain text version without formatting.
6. On the Long Text (Rich Text) FastTab, edit the text using the formatting toolbar, which includes options for:
   • Text styling (bold, italic, underline)
   • Font size and color
   • Lists and indentation
   • Links
   • Tables
   • Images
7. Use the actions on the Long Text (Rich Text) FastTab to save changes, reset the changes you've made, or delete all of the long text (including corresponding text additions). You can also access text additions or the HTML source code.

FactBoxes

When the Rich Text Editor feature is enabled, the Long Text (Rich Text) FactBox replaces the standard Long Text FactBox.
