Subsections

Subsections are used to classify various data, in this case for subcontracting. A subsection can be assigned in the General FastTab of the Project Card, Execution Unit, Vendor Card, and Contact Card.

Additionally, the Create Placing Units action in the BoQ Position List and BoQ Budget Calculation pages transfers all BoQ project lines (except blocked positions) that are assigned to a subsection to an execution unit of Type = Placing Unit. The Subsection Code is transferred to the execution unit to prevent the creation of multiple execution units for the same subsection.

The Subsection Code in execution units is transferred to the Project Card when a new project is created using the Create and Assign Project action in the Execution Unit page.

Note

Multiple assignments of subsections to a BoQ group or position is excluded, as is multiple assignments of subsections to a placing unit. However, it is possible to manually assign a BoQ position to several placing units.

If placing units have been created for a subsection using the new function, no changes can be subsequently synchronized in the existing placing units. These changes must be made manually.
