In COSMO Quality Assurance, 8D Reports and Recalls are used to manage nonconformities. With 8D reports, problems with products, with or without specific lot-/serial numbers, can be registered and assigned to team members who will be responsible for addressing the issues. With recalls, products that have failed in some point of testing can be identified directly to the source and then letters can be sent to customers if the failure warrants a product return.
