Types of Items for Rent
In COSMO Rental, there are four types of items that can be rented:
- Rental Items – typically not high value and not serial number tracked.
- Machines – typically high value, serial number tracked, serviceable, and maintained as a fixed asset.
- Machine Components – can be either high or low value, and are sometimes serial number tracked, serviceable, and maintained as a fixed asset.
- Supplementary Parts – can be either high or low value, and are sometimes serial number tracked, serviceable, and maintained as a fixed asset.
Apart from the serial number and service processing requirements, the items for rent are set up and used the same in rental documents.
