Purpose of the Document

The purpose of the FS is to transfer the requirements from the URS into concrete functional descriptions. For customer requirements that are not covered by the standard software, this document describes the conceptual solutions accordingly. In general, while the URS specifies what to do, the FS describes how to do it.

The FS forms the basis for:

• describing the implementation of the requirements from the URS in the standard software
• describing the customer-specific solutions for requirements, outside the standard software
• planning and executing system tests.

Each version of the FS must be released between the customer and COSMO CONSULT. Changes made after a document version is released result in a new document version and re-release. The following rule applies: If the system is implemented and approved, it must match the respective FS document version. Thus, a modification of the system always implies a change of the FS.
