    Schedule Templates

    Schedule Templates provide the basic setup for the operation schedules.

    In the General FastTab, enter the general information about the schedule template.

    In the Lines FastTab, define the operations, processes with description, a person responsible as well as a contact number for the operations/processes, and the duration of the operations/processes. Deadlines can be recorded both sequentially and in parallel using the Previous Operation No. and Next Operation No. fields. Parallel operations are considered if Document Schedules are calculated.

    Line Sorting

    Upon opening the Schedule Template page, the lines are sorted depending on the Operation No. field:

    • If the field is empty on all lines, the lines are sorted by line number. The Sort Line No. action is unavailable.
    • If the field is populated on any line, the lines are sorted by operation number. The Sort Operation No. action is unavailable.

    If the Operation No. field is cleared in all lines or populated in any line and the page is closed/reopened, then the sorting automatically changes accordingly.

    To change the default sorting manually, choose the Sort Line No. or Sort Operation No. action. Choosing one action makes the other action unavailable.

    To assign the Schedule Template to a sales quote/order, purchase quote/order, or service quote/order

    1. Open the quote/order document.
    2. Choose Line > Document Schedule on the Lines FastTab.
      • If a document schedule exists, it will open.
      • If a document schedule does not exist, you are asked if you want to create one and then the Schedule Templates page opens.
    3. Select the schedule template and then choose the OK button.

    To view the Document Schedule in a Document BOM Header

    The document schedule transfers from the sales order line to the document BOM but is not visible on the document BOM opened from the sales line. To view it, open the Document BOM Header page.

    1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Document BOMs, and then choose the related link.
    2. In the Sales Line Details FactBox, the document schedule information is shown.
    3. Choose the value for Document Schedule to open the document schedule. Alternatively, choose Document BOM List > Order Schedule Plan on the Related menu to open the document schedule.

    To assign the Schedule Template to a construction order

    The document schedule transfers from the sale order line to the construction order. If one does not exist, you can create one on the construction order as long as a sales order is linked. Once created, the document schedule will be available from the linked sales line.

    1. On the Construction Order page, choose Functions > Document Schedule on the Actions menu.
      • If a document schedule exists, it will open.
      • If a document schedule does not exist, you are asked if you want to create one and then the Schedule Templates page opens.
    2. Select the schedule template and then choose the OK button.
    3. The Document Schedule field in the Construction Header Details FactBox indicates Yes.
