Search and Assign Item by Attribute (DM) in Document Lines

With the Search Item by Attribute (DM) function, you can find and assign items or item variants to sales, purchase, and service lines based on their attributes. The function is always started from the respective document line and directly overwrites the selected line with the found item.

The function is available in sales quotes/orders, purchase quotes/orders, and service quotes/orders. It can only be executed from within a line of the respective document.

An existing line will be overwritten with the item selected in the Search Item by Attribute (DM) page. The Find What field is automatically set to Item and cannot be edited.

Choose the Lightbulb to open the Tell Me feature, enter Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchase Quotes, Purchase Orders, Service Quotes, or Service Orders, and then choose the relevant link.
Create a new document or open an existing one.
Select a new or existing line where you want to insert the searched-for item.
On the Lines FastTab, choose Functions > Search Item by Attribute (DM) in the Line menu.
The Attribute Value Search page opens.
Choose a template or choose Edit List and then enter one or more attributes and define the value filters.
Choose the Find action to start the search.
Select an item in the Attribute Value Search Results FastTab.
If necessary, choose the value in the No. or Variant Code field to open the Item Card or Item Variant Card, respectively, for more details. Close the card when finished.
With the desired item selected, choose the OK button.

The searched-for item is added to the current line of the document (sales, purchase, or service) and/or replaces the previously selected line content.
