Project WBS Processing FactBox
The Project WBS Processing FactBox displays planning, start/finish, scheduling, and baseline information about the selected planning process line.
Update Quantities
The Update Quantities action transfers the quantity from the Project Budget Calculation lines to the planning lines. For this transfer to occur, the planning lines must meet the following requirements:
- The quantities have not yet been planned further (Scheduled Hours = 0).
- Status is <Blank> or Planning.
- Only lines with 1:1 reference between "Project Budget Line" and "Project Planning Line".
If resources were already assigned to a line, the previous planning is reset and recalculated based on the new quantity.
Baseline Comparison (Versions)
Along with standard project versions, you can create a comparison between the current live planning state and a selected project version, i.e., a "Baseline".
In the Baseline Version field in the Project Planning Setup page – accessed from the Project Planning and Processing page by choosing the Planning Setup action on the Process Planning menu – you can select a comparison version from the existing Project Versions as a baseline. When the Baseline Version field is changed, some fields are transferred from the version line(s) to the Baseline ... fields in the live Project Planning line(s), which provide the comparison. You can also view the Baseline ... fields in the Project Process Card.
When a new project version is saved, either from the Project Card or Planning Processes page, the Planning Processes lines are also copied into the project version. Any changes between the saved version and the live Planning Processes lines are visible in the Current ... fields in the Version Planning Processes fields.
