Pointe
Summary: This chapter explains how to export and import mappings in COSMO Data Integration Framework, as well as how to use the Template Catalog to import Mapping Configurations from the COSMO CONSULT content delivery network.
To transfer mappings to other Business Central databases, for example to save time when creating new mappings, you can export and import mappings.
To export a mapping
- Choose the
icon, enter Mappings - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
- Select a mapping or mapping version, and then choose the Configuration > Export Marked or Configuration > Export action.
- Open the file or select a file location to save it.
To import a mapping
- Choose the
icon, enter Mappings - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
- Choose the Import from XML File action.
- In the Import Mapping Configuration dialog box, choose the Choose button.
- Select the XML file that contains the mapping, and then choose the Open button.
Use the Import from XML File action to create a new Version for each Mapping Version inside the XML file. When exporting, the Record Pool Partner and Mapping Partner can also be integrated. When in the Mapping Version page, Versions can be exported to and imported from other Mappings.
Mise en garde
For Mappings that exist in the database new versions are created during an import. Existing record pools will be overwritten.
Remarque
If on a targeted Mapping Card a configuration is being imported, all Mapping Versions from the configuration are stored as new versions below the current Mapping. If a configuration is imported on the Mapping List, the Mapping Codes are handled independently and, if necessarry, new Mappings are created.
Template Catalog
Choose the Template Catalog action on the Mappings - Data Integration Framework page to open the template catalog and import Mapping Configurations from the COSMO CONSULT content delivery network.
Remarque
The import works similar to the XML import.
