    Service Documents

    The Service Quote and Service Order includes fields, actions, and features specific to COSMO Discrete Manufacturing.

    General FastTab

    The Checklist No. and RMA No. fields are available on the General FastTab in the service quotes/orders. The Checklist No. is updated with the checklist created for the service item and the RMA No. is used with the in-house repair process, specified either manually or from the return order.

    The service order also has the Repair Quote No. field, which is updated with the linked service quote that is automatically created when the Repair Quote Worksheet is first opened during the in-house repair process.

    Building Site-to Fields

    The same Building Site-to... fields are available in the service quotes/orders. The values from the sales orders transfer to the service item and therefore to the service quote/order upon creation.

    Service Quotes

    The fields on the Building FastTab identify a building site address and are for informational purposes only. The values in these fields are transferred to posted documents and the corresponding fields on the Building FastTab of the service order when the Make Order function is used.

    Additionally, the Building Site-to Code field is on the Lines FastTab, which is based on the field in the Building FastTab but can be used for informational or filtering purposes. This value will also transfer to the service order when the Make Order function is used.

    Service Orders

    The fields on the Building FastTab identify a building site address and are for informational purposes only. The values in these fields are transferred to posted documents.

    Additionally, the Building Site-to Code field is on the Lines FastTab, which is based on the field in the Building FastTab but can be used for informational or filtering purposes.

    Different Customers

    If the Allow Diff. Customers in Service toggle is turned on in the Configure to Order Setup page, then you can assign service items from different customers to a service quote/order.

    Different Ship-to Codes

    If the Allow Diff. Ship-to Code in Service toggle is turned on in the Configure to Order Setup page, then you can change the Ship-to Code on a Service Item Card even if service contracts or service lines exist. Additionally, you can change the Ship-to Code in service orders/quotes with a linked service contract.

    When changing the Ship-to Code in a service quote/order with a linked service contract, it is also changed for all service item lines and service lines. During the change process, you will have the option of changing the Ship-to Code in the service item and/or linked service contract line.

    Note

    The Ship-To Code of the service contract will only be changed if all lines have the same Ship-to Code.

    Service BOMs

    Active Service BOMs are accessible from the service quote/order lines via the Active Service BOM action on the Line menu and the Active Service BOM field as well as from the Action Service BOM link in the Service Item Line Details FactBox.
