Create Construction Orders from Project Planning and Processing Line

In COSMO Discrete Manufacturing, a company's engineering or construction department can use the construction order for managing the BOM prior to manufacturing. Therefore, the construction order is considered the work order for the construction department. The design engineer has the option of modifying the document BOM created by sales or creating a new BOM. In this case, they have access to the checklist.

In the Project Planning and Processing page, the Construction Order procurement channel provides the ability to create construction orders for the project lines outside of the Project Budget Calculation, which can then be transferred to the Production module. Document BOMs that exist for the project line will be copied to the new Construction Order, unless the Create empty Const. Order toggle is turned on in the Construction FastTab of the Configure to Order Setup page.

After planning and releasing, the Construction Order is created based on the Document BOM if one exists.

The Project FastTab in the Construction Order provides information specific to the related project.

If a Document BOM does not exist for the project line, one can be created from the Construction Order. In the Construction Order, choose the Request BOM action on the Home menu to create the Construction BOM from the Master BOM assigned to the item.
