Integration of COSMO Process Manufacturing

The Quality Check functionality from COSMO Process Manufacturing uses pre-defined question and answer templates for the purpose of quality inspection. These questions and answers are assigned in the QC Templates, which are then used in QC testing. The templates can also be used for gathering additional information about a Project in COSMO Project Manufacturing.

Note

The Quality Check functionality is available without the integration to COSMO Process Manufacturing as well as in environments in which the User Experience is set to Essentials (non-manufacturing).

QC Templates

The QC Template is the basis of the QC test and is accessed using Tell Me. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter QC Templates, and then choose the related link. Initially, the QC Templates page opens.

Choose the New action to create a QC Template or the Edit action to open an existing QC Template.

Project Types

The QC Template can be assigned to a Project Type, which will indicate the QC Test Card for the Project that will be created with this Project Type.

Project Card

From the Project Card, quality checklists are accessible and managed in the following ways:

  • On the Actions menu, choose Functions > Add QC Test to open the QC Templates page, where new QC Templates can be created and assigned to the project by selecting the template and then choosing the OK button. This allows for the creation of QC Tests in addition to the assignment of templates on the Project Types.
  • On the Related menu, choose Project > QC Test List to process the assigned QC Tests.

Copy Project

The Copy Project function in the Project Card (Actions > Functions) includes options for copying QC Test Lists and QC Test List Answers to a new project.
