Equipment
Equipment is set up as a resource (Type = Machine). Equipment resources do not need standard setup, such as Base Unit of Measure, but instead have additional fields relevant for equipment management.
The COSMO Project Manufacturing-related fields and functions on the Resource Card for equipment are described in this section.
Equipment FastTab
The fields on this FastTab are described in the following table.

| General | Equipment Group Code | Indicates the Equipment Group Code, which categorizes the equipment. For more information, see Equipment Groups. |
| Belongs to Equipment No. | Indicates the main equipment that this additional equipment belongs to if it needs to be used with another piece of equipment. For more information, see Equipment that belongs with other equipment. |

| Manufacturer | Identifies the manufacturer of the equipment. | |
| Model | Identifies the model or model number of the equipment. | |
| Series No. | Indicates the series or serial number of the equipment, such as a vehicle identification number or serial number of a tool. | |
| License Plate | Indicates the license plate of the equipment, if relevant. | |
| Description | Additional information about the equipment. | |
| Purchase Date | Indicates the date the equipment was purchased. | |
| Registration Date | Indicates the date the equipment was registered. | |
| Planning | Relevant for Planning | Determines if the equipment can be viewed as available for reservation or issue. |
| Counting Type | Determines if appointments for Mileage, Operating Hours, or Both need to be recorded for the equipment. For more information, see Managing Appointments. | |
| Status | Available | Indicates if the equipment is available for use. This toggle is used if the Relevant for Planning toggle is turned on and is based on the usage or reservation by work date in the Equipment Entries page (see Equipment Entries). |
| Mileage | Indicates the mileage of the equipment as of the last appointment completion. For more information, see Completing Appointments. |

| Operating Hours | Indicates the operating hours of the equipment as of the last appointment completion. For more information, see Completing Appointments. |

| Assignment | Driver Person No. | Used with the internal vehicle fleet to identify who the vehicle is assigned to. |
| Driver Name | Automatically updated with the name of the selected driver. | |
| Asset No. | Indicates the related fixed asset of the equipment. | |
| Appointments | Next Inspection | Indicates the next inspection for the equipment, as assigned in the Equipment Appointments page. For more information, see Managing Appointments. |
| Next Maintenance | Indicates the next maintenance for the equipment, as assigned in the Equipment Appointments page. For more information, see Managing Appointments. |

Home Menu

Resource Menu
The COSMO Project Manufacturing-specific action for equipment on the Resource menu is described in the following table.

| Resource Locations | Opens the standard Resource Locations page where storage locations are defined for the equipment. This location is used in the Current Location FactBox for quick reference when equipment is available. This list is updated upon equipment return if new locations are entered. For more information, see Return Issued Equipment. |

The COSMO Project Manufacturing-specific actions for equipment on the Related menu are described in the following table.

| Attributes | Opens the Resource Attribute Values page, which shows the equipment attributes, such as color, size, or other characteristics that help to describe the equipment without the need for adding fields. You can use Equipment Attributes to filter the Equipment list by choosing Filter by Attributes action on the Resource menu. To clear the filter, choose the Clear Attributes Filter action. |
FactBoxes
The Resource Card includes these COSMO Project Manufacturing-specific FactBoxes for equipment:
- Resource Attributes – shows the resource attribute values assigned to the equipment.
- Appointments – shows the appointments assigned to the equipment. By default, the upcoming appointments are shown, but you can toggle between past and upcoming appointments from the drop-down arrow.
- Current Location – shows the current location of the equipment:
- If unavailable (reserved or issued), shows the name/number of the person the equipment was issued to, the project number/description if it was assigned to a project, and the address of the location.
- If available, shows the resource (equipment) number and storage location of the equipment, which is set up in the standard Resource Locations.
- If unknown/undefined, the resource (equipment) number and the message "not defined" is shown.
