The following reports from the Production area are hereby extended to include the Text Module, based on the last release (Functional Production Integration).

Feature Changes in version 3.4

Production

The existing integration of COSMO Text Module into the production processes is being expanded to enable the storage and management of header and footer texts for production orders. This extension allows users to record and edit additional instructions or notes directly within the production orders.

Function Scope

  1. Master Data
    • Production BOM: Texts can be recorded for production BOM headers. They will later be transferred behind the Prod. Order line during calculation.
    • Routings: Texts can be recorded for work plans. They will later be transferred behind the Prod. Order line during calculation.
  2. Copy Functions and Versioning:
    • The stored texts are automatically transferred when using copy functions and versioning.
  3. Source-dependent Text Transfer into the Prod. Order Line:
    • Sales Header: Texts are transferred from the source document (e.g., sales order).
    • Items: The master data of the item is adopted as the header text, while the footer text remains empty.
  4. Manual Text Entry:
    • If neither the source document nor the item contains appropriate texts, texts can be entered manually.
  5. Editability of Texts:
    • All transferred or manually entered texts are editable to allow specific adjustments for the respective production order.
  6. Transfer during status changes and copy functions:
    • The stored texts are automatically transferred during status changes of the production order or when using copy functions.
  7. Print Control:
    • The printing of texts follows the existing print control codes to ensure consistent representation on the corresponding documents. Important: Reports have not been adjusted in this implementation step - this must be done individually as needed.
  8. Integration into Subcontracting:
    • Texts for subcontracting are transferred into the corresponding subcontracting proposals.
    • An intermediate step is implemented to copy texts from the operation into the subcontracting worksheet before they are transferred to the purchase order.

Rich Text Editor

The Rich Text Editor (Tiny) integrated in COSMO Text Module can be replaced with the Microsoft-integrated editor in the new release.

Note that the Rich Text format may not always produce the desired output when generating reports (RDL) due to system limitations.
