Description Catalog

The Description Catalog is a function used to standardized item descriptions. Whether a description catalog should be used is defined in the Configure to Order Setup page.

If the Item Description Catalog toggle is turned on, then the ellipsis button is available in the Description field on the Item Card and will open the Item Description Catalog page. Manually entered descriptions are verified against the Item Description Catalog table.

If an invalid item description is entered, an error message opens. Choose the ellipsis button in the Description field to select a valid (standardized) item description. Alternatively, enter a question mark (?) in the empty Description field to open the Item Description Catalog page.
