Ingredient Card

All necessary ingredients are defined and maintained in the Ingredient Card.

To set up an ingredient card

1. Choose the icon, enter Ingredients, and then choose the related link.

2. Choose the New action to create an ingredient or the Edit action to open an existing ingredient.

3. Fill in the fields on the General FastTab as described in the following table.

   Field	Description
   No.	Unique identifier for the ingredient.
   Description	Description of the ingredient.
   Description 2	An additional description of the ingredient.
   Base Unit of Measure Code	Base unit of measure code of the ingredient. Choose the drop-down arrow to access the Ingredient Unit of Measure list where one of the predefined units of measure can be selected and conversion factors can be defined between the several units.
   Test Property Code	If you have the integration with Advanced Manufacturing Suite (AMS), this field is available. For more information, see Ingredient Card.

To add translations for ingredients

1. On the Related menu, choose Ingredient > Translations to open the Ingredient Translations page,
2. In the Language Code field, select the translation language.
3. In the Description field, enter the translation for the ingredient.
4. In the Description 2 field, enter the translation of the additional description, if one exists for the ingredient.

The translation can, for example, be printed on several reports.
