Lookup to Manufacturing Dimension Values in Checklist Lines

In the Checklist Template, you can open the values of a manufacturing dimension linked to a variable that is entered in the Variable for Dynamic BOM field. The linked manufacturing dimension is shown in the Mfg.-Dim Code for Variable for Dynamic BOM field and the values can be opened from the Input field.

For example, if the "CL_COLOR" variable is synchronized with the "COLOR" manufacturing dimension, and the "CL_COLOR" variable is entered in the Variable for Dynamic BOM field on a checklist template line, then the Mfg.-Dim Code for Variable for Dynamic BOM field will be set to "COLOR" and the Input field will include a lookup that opens the Manufacturing Dimension Values page, which lists all color values available for selection.

When used in combination with dynamic Master BOMs, you can select a value in a checklist line that will be transferred to the related document BOM/construction order to the production order.

Extending the color example from above, the "A_COLOR" variable is also synchronized with the "COLOR" manufacturing dimension. A Master BOM line for an item has an "A_COLOR" atttribute with a Formula Value = "CL_COLOR". The checklist line with the "CL_COLOR" variable will open the list of available colors for the item. The selected color is then transferred to both Attributes (DM) and Manufacturing Dimensions in the document BOM/construction order line (if synchronized).
