    Batch Processing

Two batch processing functions are described in this section.

    Note

The batch processing functions are disabled in the Web client due to compatibility issues.

    Import Documents

The Import Documents batch job makes it possible to import several master documents of one directory automatically.

    1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Import Documents, and then choose the related link.
    2. Use the Select a ZIP file field to enter the directory, in which the zipped importing files are deposited.
    3. The Import Reference No. is a reference which is deposited in every master document generated by the batch processing. This makes clear which documents were imported by the same batch processing.
    4. In the Category Code field, set the document category by default.
    5. If you turn on the Skip existing files toggle, files are not imported again if a master document with the given document category and same name already exists.
    6. Choose the OK button to execute the batch processing.

    Delete Disconnected Documents

If records with appended documents are deleted by the application and not by the user, the information about the reference in the Delete Disconnected Documents page will not always be deleted automatically. To delete workflow document links, which are no longer assignable, execute the Delete Disconnected Documents batch job periodically.

    1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Delete Disconnected Documents, and then choose the related link.
    2. By filtering on the Table No. field, you can restrict the deletion of disconnected documents to single tables. It's possible to add further filter fields. If you do not enter a filter, disconnected documents of all tables will be deleted.
    3. The batch routine is started by choosing the OK button and informs you about the progress of the data administration in a dialog box.
