Drawings in COSMO Project Manufacturing
Drawings are the engineering documents for an item (CAD, PDFs, specs). Multiple drawings are grouped as a Drawing Set. While maintained mainly on the item, Drawing Sets can also be merged via BOMs/Routings and Document BOMs.
When you create Project Budget Calculation lines, the Drawing Set is assigned. It then transfers to downstream documents/objects like purchase lines, production orders (line/components/routing), assembly, service, and construction.
Note
Only drawings with valid statuses per setup are transferred; merges are additive (they extend, not overwrite).
A Drawing Set is the collection of all relevant item drawings captured on your project budget lines and automatically propagated to purchasing, production, assembly, service, and construction – subject to status rules and the selected source (Item, BOM/Routing, Document BOM).
Drawing Status
If Status Check = Show Error or Confirm Individually in the Product Data Management Setup page, then the Use in Project checkbox must be selected for the applicable Drawing Status so that drawings can be used in the Project Budget Calculation lines.
