Import and Export HTML-Formatted Texts
The Rich Text Editor feature enables you to import and export HTML-formatted texts in Bill of Quantities files, preserving rich formatting across systems.
Import HTML-formatted long texts
When importing GAEB files that contain HTML-formatted text in contract rules and position long texts, the system automatically recognizes and imports the HTML formatting.
The HTML text is imported with full formatting preserved, including:
- Text formatting (bold, italic, underline)
- Lists (bulleted and numbered)
- Links
- Tables
- Images (with limitations in reports)
For more information about importing BoQ files, see Import Files.
Export HTML-formatted texts
When exporting BoQ files, HTML-formatted long texts are included in the export file with formatting preserved.
Note
HTML-formatted text is designed for import and export of GAEB files. The formatting is preserved in the export process and can be imported again into other systems that support HTML formatting. Systems that do not support HTML formatting may display the raw HTML markup or strip formatting entirely.
For more information about exporting BoQ files, see Export Files.
