To transfer conversions to other Business Central databases, for example to save time when creating new conversions, you can export and import conversions.

To export a conversion

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Conversions - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select a conversion, and then choose the Export Marked action.
  3. Open the file or select a file location to save it.

To import a conversion

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon, enter Conversions - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Import from XML File action.
  3. In the Import Conversion Configuration dialog box, choose the Choose button.
  4. Select the XML file that contains the conversion, and then choose the Open button.
Caution

Conversions that exist in the database will be overwritten during an import.

Template Catalog

Choose the Template Catalog action on the Data Integration Framework Conversions page to open the template catalog and import Conversion Configurations from the COSMO CONSULT content delivery network.
