- What are the different Record Frequency Error Handling options?
Tip
Summary: The Process Records Frequency page is used to control the frequency of records processed by a Record Pool Entry. The frequency can be set to Unrestricted or Once and the Record Frequency Error Handling field can be used to determine how the record should be handled. The options include Skip Record, Create Warning and Skip, Create Warning and Process, and Create Error.
It is possible to transfer records only once. Therefore, records that are processed by a Record Pool Entry are noted in a specific table. Record Frequency can be controlled individually for each Partner.
The Process Records Frequency page is accessed using Tell Me. Choose the icon, enter Processed Records Frequency - Data Integration Framework, and then choose the related link.
This table displays all records that are processed Partner-specific by a Record Pool Entry.
In the settings for the Repositories (see Mapping Repositories), the frequency of Record Pools can be set to Unrestricted or Once. Regardless of this setting, a new Record Pool Entry is written for any changes to the record. It is only during the Mapping that the frequency is checked and handled based on the Record Frequency Error Handling field as follows:
- Skip Record – Record Pool Entry is skipped. The Entry is stored in the Unprocessed Entries field after the Mapping process, depending on the settings of the Record Pool.
- Create Warning and Skip – Record Pool Entry is skipped. Additionally, the Mapping variable EntryWarning is complemented by a note: Permitted Record Frequency is exceeded.
- Create Warning and Process – Similar to the previous option, a note is created. However, the record is valid and processed without limitation.
- Create Error – An error is generated, which completely interrupts the Mapping process. Depending on the settings on the Record Pool, all entry actions are stored in the Processed Entries when Error field at the end of the Mapping process.
