Commission Status

The Commission Status field in the BoQ Budget Calculation, and BoQ Position List pages enhances the tracking of commissioned positions, addressing previous limitations where uncommissioned positions were inaccurately categorized as calculation budgets. This feature allows for better management of various BoQ positions, including Groups, Alternatives, and Optional positions, and automates the status updates based on sales and purchase order activities.

Additionally, the integration with the Calculation Schedules and Calculations in COSMO Calculation provides greater control over budget calculations by allowing you to filter based on the commission status of positions.

Field Options and Usage

The Commission Status field can be manually set for BoQ Positions such as Group, Alternative, Normal, and Optional positions as well as the construction overhead apportionment lines in the BoQ Budget Calculation and BoQ Position List pages. The options are:

  • <Blank> – status is undefined, default
  • Commissioned – position was ordered
  • Postponed – position is not yet ordered
  • Removed – position was removed and will never be ordered

This field is automatically changed to Commissioned when:

  • a Sales Order is created from projects.
  • a Sales Quote is converted to a Sales Order.
  • a Purchase Order is created from a placing unit project.
  • a Purchase Quote is converted to a Purchase Order (related to a placing unit project).

For informational purposes, this field is stored in the Version Project Budget Calculation.

The value in the Commission Status field is also transferred to the Measurement Overview for relevant BoQ positions.

The Project Card includes the Budget Sales Line Amount (LCY) (Commissioned) and Budget Total Cost (LCY) (Commissioned) fields, which include Alternative and Optional positions without total. Blocked positions are not included in the totals.

COSMO Calculation Integration

The Commission Status feature has been integrated to the Calculation Schedules and Calculations in COSMO Calculation.

In the Calculation Schedule Card, you can control whether only commissioned or not commissioned BoQ positions are considered or if all project budget lines are used to calculate the calculation values via the Consider Commission Status field in the General FastTab. The value set in this field is automatically transferred to calculations with Calculation Type = Project (Expected) and is not editable.
