Text Module Print Management
The Text Module Print Management page creates the link between text lines and the objects to be printed and/or displayed. Hover over a field to read a short description.
Example
A print management record is created with Code = SALES that includes the following sales reports and tables:
Output Type | Output ID | Output Document Type | Output Name |
---|---|---|---|
Report | 5060609 | 0 | Sales - Quote |
Report | 5060610 | 0 | Order Confirmation |
Report | 5060611 | 0 | Sales - Invoice |
Report | 5060612 | 0 | Sales - Credit Memo |
Report | 5060613 | 0 | Sales - Shipment |
Report | 5060614 | 0 | Blanket Sales Order |
Table | 36 | 0 | Sales Header (Quote) |
Table | 36 | 1 | Sales Header (Order) |
Table | 37 | 0 | Sales Line (Quote) |
Table | 37 | 1 | Sales Line (Order) |
This setup means that text with Print Mgt. Code = SALES will be displayed on the listed reports and displayed in pop-up pages for header and line text in sales quotes and orders.
Assignment to Text Records
The Print Mgt. Code can be added to text assigned to master data or standard text in the lines of the Text Module Card (see Text Module Card) or in the Edit Text page (see Edit Text Page), generally accessible from document headers/lines.
This setting determines whether the text is displayed in the documents. To exclude the text from the report (i.e., printed or emailed), delete the value in the Print Mgt. Code field.
Example
If the new SALES print management code is assigned to text in the sales order header or line, the text will be displayed in all of the listed reports, on screen and printed/emailed. To exclude this text from the reports, delete the SALES value in the Print Mgt. Code field from the header/footer text or line text in the sales order.
