FDC Terminal
The FDC Terminal is a lightweight client add-in for COSMO Factory Data Capture.
Remarque
The FDC Terminal was redesigned for use with the Web client. Therefore, the icons used when the terminal is accessed from the Web client are not visible when accessed from the Windows client.
The FDC Terminal consists of a Main Menu and some input dialogues (for example, FDC Terminal Resource dialogue).
Come and Leave captures STDC Check ins and Check outs. For that, Input Journal lines without reference to an FDC Work Order are created and posted in the background. Break captures an STDC Interruption for the FDC Resource which can be finished with an additional Come.
Recordings for FDC Work Order Operations can be done with Register and Deregister commands. In addition, Deregister asks for output quantity, which can also be entered by using Output. Consumption captures consumed quantities and Work Area offers the change of the current FDC Work Area. Scrap captures scrap output from production.
In the FDC Resource dialogue, the FDC Resource can be entered via Barcode Scan, using the numeric keypad on the right, or a lookup in the box at the end of the input field. The lookup also shows some additional information about the FDC Resource.
The setting in the Dim. Values Mandatory on End field on the Input Entry FastTab in the FDC Setup page forces the dialogue to ask for all FDC Dimension values that are set with Code Mandatory after entering an output or logging out. This functionality can be used for result codes in the Terminal.
In the FDC Setup page, the Terminal Lookup Type field on the Terminal FastTab determines how lookup pages are displayed in the Terminal. The options are:
- Terminal List – applies a list view that is optimized for the Terminal.
- Business Central Page – opens the default Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central page of lists, for example, for items or FDC Resources.
If the Allow Terminal FDC Closure toggle has been turned on in the FDC Setup page, then you can close the FDC Terminal by choosing the icon.
