Project Shipment
Project Shipments are displayed in the Project Planning and Processing page. All functions described below are executed or accessed from this page.
Shipment Planning
The fields relevant for WBS positions that are to be delivered to the customer are:
- Shipment Channel – specifies the shipment process.
- Shipment Date – defines the shipment due date. If no date is entered, COSMO Project Manufacturing assumes the current date.
To create a delivery schedule for a specific item or system, the Shipment Plan checkbox must be selected on this WBS position. This results in an automated planning for this position (as indicated in the Shipment Planning field) and the Shipment Date is taken from the process planning. This line can then be processed in the Project Planning and Processing page or the Project Shipment Planning page (see Project Shipment Planning Page).
Now the complete structure of the shipment can be planned. On the Project Planning and Processing page, select the relevant line, then on the Project Shipment menu, choose the Plan action and then select the Current line + sub-structure option.
The automatic Planning Process is based on the entry in the Shipment Channel field:
- Structure Position – creates a shipment plan without a quantity.
- Project Line – creates a shipment plan with the calculated quantity.
- Posted Item – creates a shipment plan only if an item was posted through a purchase or inventory request on the project that has not been delivered so far.
All shipment plans belonging to a structure can be viewed and edited together in the Project Processing Shipment Plan page, accessed from the Project Shipment menu by choosing Per Block.
Project Shipment Planning Page
The shipment planning for all project lines with the Shipment Plan checkbox selected can be viewed in the Project Shipment Planning page, accessed using Tell Me. Choose the icon, enter Project Shipment Planning, and then choose the related link.
The fields in the General and Date FastTabs are used to filter the view. The actions on the Home and Project menu provide the ability to Release selected shipment lines, to access Project Cards, and the Project Planning and Processing page to display the complete structure levels (including the lower levels) of each project shipment line.
Shipment Release
Planned shipment WBS positions (Shipment Status = Planning) can be released by choosing the Release action on the Project Shipment menu.
Shipment documents can be created during the release process. The created documents for the lines are indicated in the Project Shipment field on the Project Planning and Processing page.
To open the Project Shipment document, choose the value in the Project Shipment field and then choose the Show Document action on the Project Shipment Lines page.
The shipment can be arranged in multiple partial shipments (for example, for multiple trucks) by modifying the value in the Qty. to Ship field.
A project shipment must be released as a document and can then be posted.
Posted Project Shipments
Posted Project Shipments are accessible using Tell Me or from the Posted Documents menu in the Role Center.
From here, the posted Project Shipment can be viewed and reprinted.
Document Box FactBox
