Master BOMs
In COSMO Discrete Manufacturing, item BOMs are referred to as Master BOMs. Master BOMs are templates for order-related BOMs. The Production BOMs in standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central are not used for order manufacturing.
When creating a sales document, the Master BOM can be copied to the sales lines. At this point, it is referred to as the Document BOM, where the Master BOM is not referenced but rather the copied BOM. Together with the checklists, the Master BOMs form the configuration feature in COSMO Discrete Manufacturing. However, the Master BOMs can also be used without the configuration feature.
