Integration of COSMO Quality Assurance

The integration of COSMO Quality Assurance to COSMO Discrete Manufacturing provides a seamless and efficient process for quality assurance testing of discrete manufacturing orders using Document BOMs and Construction BOMs.

This integration enables the assignment of a Test Plan to Master BOMs and Document/Construction BOMs, with the ability to change the Test Plan on Document/Construction BOM lines. The Test Plan No. assigned to component or operation lines in the Master BOM are automatically transferred to the Document/Construction BOMs.

When creating Production BOMs from Document BOMs, the Test Plan No. transfers to the corresponding field in the Production BOM. Similarly, when creating Routings from Document BOMs, the Test Plan No. and Test Order Relevance transfers to the corresponding fields in the Routing.

The testing related to discrete production orders is supported by COSMO Quality Assurance in the same manner as other production inspections, including:

• Creation of a test order depending on Quality Assurance settings, such as automatically creating a test order when the production order is released.
• Test Plan assignment of source type Component and Operation to select the assigned Test Plan of Document BOM to create a new Test Order.
• Other relevant configurations of COSMO Quality Assurance such as the From the Same Lot function.
