ZVEH Catalog

The Zentralverband der Deutschen Elektro- und Informationstechnischen Handwerke (ZVEH) is a German organization that defines standard services with prices.

In a typical process with ZVEH, customers will get a GAEB file with standard services as well as catalog items with BOMs that can be automatically assigned to the standard service BoQs. The prices assigned to the catalog items will update their standard service BoQ.

Setup

Setting up a ZVEH catalog items for standard services is the same as other catalog items except you need to assign a BoQ Position No. on the General FastTab. This assignment will add the BOM to the position line and calculate the lines accordingly when the Precalculate BoQ (Catalog BOMs) function is run in the BoQ Budget Calculation page.

In the Catalog Item BOM page, enter the related catalog item(s) and usually one resource. The catalog item BOMs will be updated periodically (monthly, yearly) with new prices for the catalog items and then the standard BoQ is recalculated when the Precalculate BoQ (Catalog BOMs) function is run.

Precalculate BoQ (Catalog BOMs)

In a BoQ created for ZVEH Standard Services, you can run the Precalculate BoQ (Catalog BOMs) function to add the catalog item BOMs to the positions and then precalculate those components.

On the Actions menu, choose BOM > Precalculate BoQ (Catalog BOMs) and then choose the Yes button to run the process. The catalog item BOM that was assigned to the position through the BoQ Position No. field on the Catalog Item page will be added below the position along with the BOM components. Costs and prices are calculated as well.

If you run the function again, a message will open asking if you want to delete the existing substructure and continue with the precalculation.
