Warehouse Shipment Proposal Lines
The Logistics Warehouse Proposal Lines can be accessed directly or from the Logistics Outbound Request lines function. The Proposal checks the combining rules for the existing source document lines depending on the storage location and creates suggestion lines for warehouse shipments. After executing the function, a window with the proposal lines appears. The list is displayed as a line view. It also checks whether there are already open Warehouse shipments that fulfill the summary criteria and if that is the case, the suggested lines are assigned to these warehouse shipments.
An availability check takes place within the framework of the proposal. The application automatically suggests, based on the stock, for which items a warehouse shipment should be created. The application distributes the remaining stock to the document lines according to the goods issue date. If the remaining stock for the given item is greater than zero, it will be proposed as a quantity for warehouse shipment. The create warehouse shipment is set to yes in this case, but it can be changed manually. The default quantity can also be changed so that an override (maximum up to the remaining order quantity) can be made.
Prerequisites
- Combine logic setup for the whse shipment proposal
On the location card it is possible to define different combination logic for the warehouse shipment proposal function. These combine fields can only be set if the Combine Shipment Active is set to TRUE.
The combination rules are defined on the location card as follows:
Combine Shpt. Destination: All the shipment going to the same destination can be summarized.
Combine Ship-To Code: only the lines with the same Ship-to code can be on the same Warehouse Shipment
Combine Shpt. Ship Agent Serv.: All the shipments with the same shipping agent and shipping agent service are summarized
Combine Shpt. Order Type: All the shipments with the same order type are summarized
Combine Shpt. Shipment Method: All the shipments with the same shipment method defined in the source document are summarized
Combine Shpt. Date Formula and Check Combine Shpt. Condition: All the shipments with the same Planned Shipment Date will be added to the same Warehouse Shipment
Several combination rules can be used at the same time and based on that the system will assign a proposal number for each line.
