Usage
The purpose of the Graphical Sequence Planning page is to provide an overview of the sequence work centers as well as the scheduling of their related production orders. You can perform many of the same processes in this view as you can in the Sequence Planning page using the actions noted in Context Menus.
Sequence Work Centers
The left pane of the chart shows the sequence work centers and their related production orders. Work centers that need to be rescheduled are highlighted in aqua (this color cannot be changed). The right pane of the chart shows the capacities of the sequence work centers.
Double-tapping (or double-clicking) a sequence work center in either pane opens the Graphical Prod. Capacity Planning page, which helps to resolve overloads.
Tap (or hover the cursor over) over the color-coded entries to see the capacities, tap and hold (or right-click) to open the context menus.
For more information, see Graphical Prod. Capacity Planning in the COSMO Graphical Extension Help.
Production Orders
Below the sequence work centers are their related production orders, displayed by item number. The right pane of the chart shows the time frame of the production order.
Double-tapping (or double-clicking) a production order in the left pane refocuses the right pane to the starting date of the production order. Double-tapping (or double-clicking) a production order in the right pane opens the Graphical Prod. Order Planning page, where you can get complete production order information about the selected order.
Tap (or hover the cursor over) the production order information in either pane to see general production information, tap and hold (or right-click) to open the context menus.
In the left pane, the production orders also include special icons to indicate material shortages, capacity conflicts, and resource needs. These icons are shown before the item number.
For more information, see Graphical Prod. Order Planning in the COSMO Graphical Extension Help.
Capacity Adjustments
If you want to make any adjustments to the capacities, you can double-tap (or double-click) any capacity, which opens the Graphical Prod. Capacity Planning page. There you can change the settings to look for overloads and then open those overloads in the Graphical Prod. Order Planning page to make the necessary adjustments.
For more information, see Graphical Prod. Order Planning in the COSMO Graphical Extension Help.
Production Order Adjustments
You can move production orders directly in the Graphical Sequence Planning page to resolve conflicts or to manage materials and resources. However, you can only move the production orders horizontally, within the same sequence work center by using the standard drag and drop feature. Moving the production orders here will adjust the sequence planning accordingly. Adjusted production orders appear as grey while processing the changes. Once the changes are processed, the production orders return to their original color.
If you want to change to another work center, use the Change Work Center menu item in the context menu and then make further adjustments to the time frame.
