Trading Unit Functionality
The standard lot number in COSMO Process Manufacturing is split into Lot No. Trading Unit and Trading Unit No. fields (see Trading Unit Numbers). If you enter values in both fields, the values are concatenated and copied into the Lot No. field. These two fields are included in the following processes in COSMO Quality Assurance:
- Incoming Goods Inspection
- Manufacturing Inspection
- Shipment Inspection
- Stability Tests
- Test Incidents
- Retained Samples
- Lot-/Serial No. Administration
- Inventory Overview
- Item Tracing
- 8D Report
- Item Tracking
- Customer Certificates
The usage and tracking of these fields is generally the same as the Lot No. field described in the COSMO Quality Assurance Help. Refer to this Help for further information.
However, there are some cases where additional description is needed to explain the usage of trading units in COSMO Quality Assurance. These are described in the following topics.
The following table describes a sequence of tasks, with links to the topics that describe them.
