Document Box
The Document Box is a FactBox, implemented on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pages in the web client on the right side of a page. To have an overview of the pages that have a FactBox in COSMO Document Management System, see DMS BaseApp Extension.
It supports Drag and Drop from files and email messages, and a context menu for the list items (documents). The brackets show the number of documents found for the content type configuration.
Jegyzet
The Drag and Drop of email messages is only supported by Chromium-based browsers.
Item Actions
The items for the context menu can be limited and configured on the content type configuration, see DMS Content Types on the DMS Content Type page. The actions for a document are described in the following sections.
Open File
Opens the selected file in SharePoint in the web browser. Double-clicking the document executes this action as well.
Download File
Downloads the file from SharePoint directly to a local path.
Email File
Sends the file by email directly from Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Ensure that the Email feature is activated and set up.
Delete File
Removes the file from the SharePoint document library.
Copy URL
Copies the URL of the document into the user’s clipboard.
Filter in SharePoint
Opens the document library with the default view in the web browser and filters only this document.
Show Metadata
Opens the DMS Document Metadata Dialog page, which displays the metadata according to the current content type’s configuration for the selected file. For more information, see DMS Document Metadata Dialog. This action is available by default.

The Show Metadata and Edit Metadata actions cannot be shown at the same time.
Edit Metadata
Opens the DMS Document Metadata Dialog page, which displays the metadata for the selected file according to the current content type’s configuration, and where values can be uploaded upon confirmation. For more information, see DMS Document Metadata Dialog.
Content Type Actions
The actions available for the content type are described in the following section.
Open SharePoint
Opens the default web browser and navigates to the default view of the document library.
Upload File
Opens the file dialog from Windows and uploads the document similarly to the Document Box Drag and Drop, including possible Metadata definition, to SharePoint.
Show All Files
Queries the first 5,000 files of the document library and updates it afterwards with the new result.
Jegyzet
The Show All Files action is only available with an item limit.
